DECENTRALIZED ECONOMY & BOND MARKET

A crypto platform that enables nonprofits to scale

Karma offers bonds: a financial tool which enables our DAO to lock-in liquidity for our treasury while also rewarding nonprofits and investors.

Bonding allows Karma to accumulate its own liquidity, which ensures there is always locked exit liquidity in our trading pools to facilitate market operations and protect token holders

Discounts from bonding enable nonprofits to pay less for services rendered, without reducing rewards for freelancers in the process

Rewards offer freelancers the opportunity to give back to organizations they love using the skills they know best

FAQ

Frequency Asked Questions

Do I need Karma tokens to create tasks?

Yes, in order to list a task on KarmaDAO you will need at minimum the number of tokens required to reward the freelancer for the new project. This is done in order to protect freelancers from fraudulent requests, and to incentivize transparency within the network.

What do investors, freelancers, and nonprofits gain from Karma?

Thanks to Karma's bond market, KarmaDAO has an ever-growing treasury of assets that pegs Karma to an underlying reserve and facilitates market participation, which benefits all holders. Freelancers have the opportunity to have their payout appreciate in value, while nonprofits that join early essentially receive a permanent discount on skilled volunteers, since reward size is based on fiat currency standards.

Can I trade Karma at an exchange?

Currently, Karma is pre ICO stage. In the future, Karma will be available through the Avalanche network on select swap exchanges.

Why does Karma take collateral when I create a task?

Karma notifies task creators that part of their reward bounty is held as collateral within a task. This is done to protect freelancers from organizations that kill projects after accepting a contract, allowing skilled volunteers to receive a service reward. This only applies once an organization selects a skilled volunteer and accepts a contract.

How do nonprofits afford to pay for tasks?

Nonprofits have two possible ways to pay for skilled volunteers. The first option is to directly purchase Karma tokens, and fund tasks themselves. The second option is to have donors "fuel" individual tasks, by donating a sum of Karma towards a project they believe in. This allows donors to support causes they believe in, with the added benefit of knowing exactly how their money is being spent.

Can I mine Karma?

Currently, Karma cannot be mined and will unlikely support such features in the future.
